Canada’s ISED has implemented new charging requirements since September

The Innovation, Science and Economic Development Authority of Canada(ISED) has issued Notice SMSE-006-23 of 4 July, "Decision on the Certification and Engineering Authority's Telecommunications and Radio Equipment Service Fee", which specifies that the new telecommunications and radio equipment charge requirements will be implemented from 1 September 2023. Taking into account changes in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), it is expected to be adjusted again in April 2024.
Applicable products: telecommunication equipment, radio equipment

1.Equipment registration fee
If an application is made to the Minister to register telecommunications equipment in the Terminal Equipment Register maintained and published by it, or to list certified radio equipment in the Radio Equipment List maintained and published by it, an equipment registration fee of $750 shall be paid for each submission of the application, in addition to any other applicable fees.
The equipment registration fee replaces the listing fee and applies to a new single or series of applications submitted by a certification body.

2.Equipment registration correction fee
When applying to the Minister for approval to amend a radio equipment certification or telecommunications equipment registration (or a combination of the two, called a dual application), an Equipment registration amendment fee of $375 shall be paid in addition to any other applicable fees.
The Device Registration modification fee replaces the listing fee and applies to license changes (C1PC, C2PC, C3PC, C4PC), multiple listing and certification transfer requests submitted by certification bodies.
