Starting from January 1, 2025, the new BSMI standard will be implemented

1. The inspection method for information and audiovisual products shall comply with the type declaration, using CNS 14408 and CNS14336-1 standards, which are only valid until December 31, 2024. Starting from January 1, 2025, the standard CNS 15598-1 shall be used and a new conformity declaration shall be signed.
2. From January 1, 2025, the inspection method for digital cameras and digital camera products will be changed from conformity declaration to verification login (type test mode plus conformity declaration mode) or type approval batch by batch inspection in parallel. The original inspection method of conformity declaration will become invalid from January 1, 2025.
3. The pre correction inspection standard for audiovisual audio products (CNS 14408) will cease to be applicable from January 1, 2025. If the product type approval or verification registration certificate obtained in accordance with the pre amendment inspection standards meets the extension requirements stipulated in the “Product Type Approval Management Measures” or “Product Verification Registration Measures”, it may apply for an extension in accordance with the original inspection regulations before December 31, 2024. After the extension, the certificate will be valid for 3 years and can be used until its expiration date; From January 1, 2025, those who apply for extension to this bureau shall provide type test reports and technical documents that comply with the revised inspection standards (CNS 15598-1).
