1. Scope of application of CE certification
CE certification applies to all products sold within the European Union, including products in industries such as machinery, electronics, electronics, toys, medical devices, etc. The standards and requirements for CE certification vary for different types of products. For example, for electronic and electrical products, CE certification requires compliance with standards and regulations such as Electromagnetic Compatibility (CE-EMC) and Low Voltage Directive (CE-LVD).
1.1 Electrical and electronic products: including various household appliances, lighting equipment, electronic instruments and equipment, cables and wires, transformers and power supplies, safety switches, automatic control systems, etc.
1.2 Toys and children's products: including children's toys, cribs, strollers, baby safety seats, children's stationery, dolls, etc.
1.3 Mechanical equipment: including machine tools, lifting equipment, electric tools, hand carts, excavators, tractors, agricultural machinery, pressure equipment, etc.
1.4 Personal protective equipment: including helmets, gloves, safety shoes, protective goggles, respirators, protective clothing, seat belts, etc.
1.5 Medical equipment: including medical surgical instruments, in vitro diagnostic equipment, pacemakers, glasses, artificial organs, syringes, medical chairs, beds, etc.
1.6 Building materials: including building glass, doors and windows, fixed steel structures, elevators, electric rolling shutter doors, fire doors, building insulation materials, etc.
1.7 Environmental protection products: including sewage treatment equipment, waste treatment equipment, trash cans, solar panels, etc.
1.8 Transportation equipment: including cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, trains, ships, etc.
1.9 Gas appliances: including gas water heaters, gas stoves, gas fireplaces, etc.
2. Applicable regions for CE marking
EU CE certification can be carried out in 33 special economic zones in Europe, including 27 EU, 4 countries in the European Free Trade Area, and the United Kingdom and Türkiye. Products with the CE mark can freely circulate in the European Economic Area (EEA).
