CE certification
1. What is CE certification?
The CE mark is a mandatory safety mark proposed by EU law for products. It is an abbreviation of the French word "Conformite Europeenne". All products that meet the basic requirements of EU directives and have undergone appropriate conformity assessment procedures can be affixed with the CE mark. The CE mark is a passport for products to enter the European market, which is a conformity assessment for specific products, focusing on the safety characteristics of the products. It is a conformity assessment that reflects the product's requirements for public safety, health, environment, and personal safety.
CE is a legally mandatory marking in the EU market, and all products covered by the directive must comply with the requirements of the relevant directive, otherwise they cannot be sold in the EU. If products that do not meet the requirements of EU directives are found in the market, manufacturers or distributors should be ordered to take them back from the market. Those who continue to violate relevant directive requirements will be restricted or prohibited from entering the EU market or forcibly required to be delisted.

2.Why is CE marking so important?
The mandatory CE marking provides assurance for products to enter the European Union, allowing them to freely circulate within the 33 member countries that make up the European Economic Area and directly enter markets with over 500 million consumers. If a product should have a CE mark but does not have one, the manufacturer or distributor will be fined and face expensive product recalls, so compliance is crucial.
3.Scope of application of CE certification
CE certification applies to all products sold within the European Union, including products in industries such as machinery, electronics, electronics, toys, medical devices, etc. The standards and requirements for CE certification vary for different types of products. For example, for electronic and electrical products, CE certification requires compliance with standards and regulations such as Electromagnetic Compatibility (CE-EMC) and Low Voltage Directive (CE-LVD).
3.1 Electrical and electronic products: including various household appliances, lighting equipment, electronic instruments and equipment, cables and wires, transformers and power supplies, safety switches, automatic control systems, etc.

3.3 Mechanical equipment: including machine tools, lifting equipment, electric tools, hand carts, excavators, tractors, agricultural machinery, pressure equipment, etc.
3.4 Personal protective equipment: including helmets, gloves, safety shoes, protective goggles, respirators, protective clothing, seat belts, etc.
3.5 Medical equipment: including medical surgical instruments, in vitro diagnostic equipment, pacemakers, glasses, artificial organs, syringes, medical chairs, beds, etc.
3.6 Building materials: including building glass, doors and windows, fixed steel structures, elevators, electric rolling shutter doors, fire doors, building insulation materials, etc.
