Hi-res Audio is a high-quality audio product design standard developed by JAS (Japan Audio Association) and CEA (Consumer Electronics Association), and is an essential certification mark for high-end audio devices. Hi-res has enabled portable audio and video products to have full range and high bitrate capabilities, marking a new era for portable audio and video products. The addition of Hi-res labels to products not only represents a super high experience, but also represents the unanimous recognition of the industry in terms of quality and sound quality.
The Hi-res logo is known as the "Little Gold Label" by netizens due to its black lettering on a gold background. Many models of SONY earphones have passed Hi-res certification, representing that their audio performance meets the Hi-res specifications set by JEITA (Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industry Association) and has high-quality audio.
According to JEITA standards, analog audio frequency response needs to reach 40 kHz or higher, while digital audio sampling rate needs to reach 96 kHz/24 bit or higher.
To apply for Hi-res certification, brand owners need to first sign a confidentiality agreement with JAS and submit company information to JAS for review as required. After JAS reviews the basic information of the brand, the brand and JAS sign an authorization agreement and submit product testing data to JAS for confirmation. JAS will review the materials again, and if they are okay, an invoice will be provided to the brand. The brand pays the initial management fee and the first year's annual fee to obtain the right to use the Hi-res trademark.
Hi-res Audio Wireless is a wireless high-resolution audio logo launched by JAS in response to the trend of wireless headphones. At present, the only wireless audio decoders recognized by Hi-res Audio Wireless are LDAC and LHDC. Brands need to obtain permission from LDAC or LHDC before applying for Hi Res certification for wireless headphones.
1. Identification requirements:
SONY has developed guidelines for the use of the Hi-res trademark and text, providing detailed explanations of the Hi-res graphics and text. For example, the minimum height of the Hi-res graphic trademark should be 6mm or 25 pixels, and the Hi-res graphic should be left blank around it.
